playground.
The Trent Severn Waterway stretches from Georgian Bay to Lake Ontario. Selwyn Shores Waterfront Bed & Breakfast is located on Chemong Lake, approximately mid way through the waterway between lock 31 and 32.
The communities of Lakefield, Buckhorn, Youngs Point,Curve Lake, Bridgenorth and Peterborough are each within a ten minute drive. There are great spots for small store shopping, restaurant dining, native culture, winery, art galleries, and The Canadian Canoe Museum.
For the outdoor enthusiast, there are many trails for hiking and cycling in the area. The Selwyn Conservation Area is very close to Selwyn Shores Waterfront Bed and Breakfast, and it has a nice beach with picnic tables.
Warsaw Caves and The Petroglyph Provincial Park are within an easy drive too.
You can bring your own boat as dockage is available or choose to take one of the two local boat cruises, one through The Peterborough Lift Locks and the other on Stoney Lake.
